No Rob, I posted an entire comment demonstrating...
Why she is not qualified. However the "Access Denied" fault showed up again. Odd how that keeps happening, not to mention how awfully convenient for some I suppose. I will rewrite my comments again. Perhaps someone somewhere would actually fix this 'issue' with the blog so people can have an actual discussion. But... I doubt it.
For now if you want to 'see' Meta's qualifications, go to her site and look at all the 'candidates' who have endorsed her. You will note the lack of any actual leadership experience offered on her own site. Don't take my word for it or Rob's word for the opposite. Rob won't read Mah's web site, so why don't you. Make an actual informed decision.

Submitted by Guglielmo on Fri, 11/02/2007 - 4:04pm.Are you sincerely considering voting for Meta? Considering your posts, I have a difficult time believing you are.
Also, Meta is not TJ. You are projecting. And if you listened to the Olympian forum, you'd know that she said the port's business is the port's business.
well,
Submitted by Rob Richards on Fri, 11/02/2007 - 4:02pm.I've received some Mah literature at my house that is just as vague as the things you point out about Meta's website. I could ask all of the same questions of Mah. Do candidates for office ever go into detail about how they're going to do the things they say they're going to do?
You bring up the port again, so I assume it's an important issue to you. Meta has said multiple times that she doesn't think it's any business of the council to block the military whether it be Navy ships or Army shipments. This issue has been politicized thanks to TJ's arrest and The Olympian's sensationalism, but what we really have here is an issue that has no relevance to the Olympia City Council.
Do candidates for office
Submitted by Phil Owen on Fri, 11/02/2007 - 4:21pm.Do candidates for office ever go into detail about how they're going to do the things they say they're going to do?
On occassion they do, against the fervent advise of their campaign managers. Usually the details put people to sleep and make the candidate look wonky, bureaucratic, and boring.
If you would like to hear about the details, call or email Meta, or any other candidate for that matter. Most candidates put their personal contact info on their campaign material (Meta did). Meta's email address is metaformayor@gmail.com
You have a responsibility to be an informed voter, Tschida. That takes a little one on one time with your candidates.

A Suggestion
Submitted by Ehver Green on Fri, 11/02/2007 - 2:45pm.Ask people to send you details about faults on Olyblog. On the Access Denied page you need a "Report this Bug" link (then you need to capture the details back to a db). Might be a good idea to add one just before the 'log out' link on the left menu.
Next, you may need to consider a new spam filter. Seems the one you've got is garbage.
