Partners in Prevention Education Press Release!

Homeless and At-risk Youth Engaged in Social Change!

Local youth and young adults have completed a 5 ½ minute Promotional Video aimed at increasing awareness of Sexual Assault in our community. The young people involved in the creation of the video have been working for several months and are very excited to share the final product with the community, which is expected to be aired on Channel 22  throughout September. The video is a project of the weekly Partners in Prevention Education (PiPE) Youth Group, which meets at Rosie’s Place Resource Center every Tuesday afternoon. PiPE’s Youth Group is facilitated by Prevention Specialist Rosalinda Noriega and attendance ranges from a small group up to 20 youth per meeting. Participants were responsible for scripting, photo shoots and recording narration. This project was a partnership between Partners in Prevention Education and YAYA Media, with the support of Community Youth Services.

For more information about Partners in Prevention Education or to view the Promo Video visit www.youthchangeagents.org or call 360-357-4472.
