Interesting stuff, anybody else listening?

I am.

I am.

Hmm

Everything being asked by Terry is so ambigious.  He's a reporter but not reporting these conversations with names or real details.  Hearsay is all.  I don't think it's malicious but it's just not how you carry a conversation.  Finally, the other host acknowledges this fact.

Terry was a little rough on Doug

but I say that as the Mayor of this fair city, he should have been up to task.

Tough is good.  Doug can

Tough is good.  Doug can handle it.  But when you don't have anything to carry the conversation, because your sources are protected, it's pretty tough for the mayor to respond with anything other than -- come see me, write me, or call me.  They've got to communicate with those that can actually help.  Back-room conversations won't help.

Reporters can bring it to light and keep it out in the open.  Use the media to exploit those who are threatening you.

Doug was right at the end.  He should have brought Hyer, Kingsbury or Machlis with him.

I'm sure that any of the council members could do a better job

of fielding those comments and questions than Doug did. But he's the Mayor. Doug should have been able to offer a better presentation than he did.

I think the main problem is that Doug is truly out of touch with the segment of the community whose concerns were represented by those comments and questions. I think John only stepped in because he didn't want the show to end with the Mayor of the Capitol City at a total loss for words -- so he threw him a lifeline.

Doug's answeres to some questions...

were nothing more than lip service as far as I'm concerned. He said nothing that communicated any kind of concern for the trend of forcing low-middle income folks out of downtown. This issue affects me directly as a DT resident. You can bet I'm going to set up a meeting with the Mayor's Office ASAP! Any other DT residents want to show how many votes and how much money we have control over? Seems that's his only language. Gawd I whish Meta had won...

Can somebody fill me in on what the topics were?

Also, is there a way I can hear it now? Can I stream it or get a copy of it?
