Unofficially, this years blanket drive has begun. The project formerly known as EGYHOP, now known as Done & Done, is depressingly low on supplies. We need more of them, and this is the first time this season that we have done a call out. Where we stand now, both monetarily and regarding supplies, we are not going to make it through the winter and we need community support. Done and Done is a 501 C3 non profit that does street outreach seven nights a week, 365 days a year. We are entirely volunteer operated, and depend heavily on support from this town. Every night of the week you are likely to spot us in downtown, with loaded bike carts, handing out emergency supplies to folks that need them. Many people depend on our continued existence, and we are the only resource available in town after all the other agencies and organizations have closed their doors. We are in extreme need of: blankets, blankets, blankets sleeping bags tarps tents candles and flashlights socks warm winter clothing (including hats, sweatshirts, coats, jackets, gloves, scarves, long johns and layering clothes, and thick wool socks) and monetary donations! we are always in need of: hygiene supplies (toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, pads, tampons, condoms, razors, combs, mouthwash, tissues, you name it!) medical supplies (asprin, tylenol, ibuprofen, bandaids, first aid kits, gauze, rubber gloves, vitamins, chapstick, and emergenC packages) shoes umbrellas boots rain panchos any kind of camping gear batteries Every year our winter supplies get exhausted, and this year we have even less of a surplus than we have before. If you have extras of any of these items please consider donating them to Done & Done. There are many people out there that depend on these supplies for their survival and comfort during the harsh winter months.
