Unofficially, this years blanket drive has begun. The project formerly known as EGYHOP, now known as Done & Done, is depressingly low on supplies. We need more of them, and this is the first time this season that we have done a call out. Where we stand now, both monetarily and regarding supplies, we are not going to make it through the winter and we need community support.

Done and Done is a 501 C3 non profit that does street outreach seven nights a week, 365 days a year. We are entirely volunteer operated, and depend heavily on support from this town. Every night of the week you are likely to spot us in downtown, with loaded bike carts, handing out emergency supplies to folks that need them. Many people depend on our continued existence, and we are the only resource available in town after all the other agencies and organizations have closed their doors.

We are in extreme need of:
blankets, blankets, blankets
sleeping bags
tarps
tents
candles and flashlights
socks
warm winter clothing (including hats, sweatshirts, coats, jackets, gloves, scarves, long johns and layering clothes, and thick wool socks)
and monetary donations!

we are always in need of:
hygiene supplies (toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, pads, tampons, condoms, razors, combs, mouthwash, tissues, you name it!)
medical supplies (asprin, tylenol, ibuprofen, bandaids, first aid kits, gauze, rubber gloves, vitamins, chapstick, and emergenC packages)
shoes
umbrellas
boots
rain panchos
any kind of camping gear
batteries

Every year our winter supplies get exhausted, and this year we have even less of a surplus than we have before. If you have extras of any of these items please consider donating them to Done & Done. There are many people out there that depend on these supplies for their survival and comfort during the harsh winter months.

All-comers Bluegrass and Old-Time jams return after the holiday hiatus to second Friday and Saturdays at the Black Lake Grange Hall, 6011 Black Lake Blvd., Olympia.

The Friday night Bluegrass jam runs from 6 to 9 PM. Think fiddles, guitars, banjos, mandolins, string bass and resophonic guitars. Open mic session later in the evening. Call Jim to learn more (360) 943-4406

Everything continues at the Grange as the Black Hills Pickers host more jamin' from 11 AM to 4:30 PM. Open mic session later in the day. Call Bobbie to learn more (360) 273-8816

Both jams will continue into the Spring (April?) each second Friday and Saturday at the Grange.

Both: All experience and age levels welcome. You don't have to play or sing to have fun at the jam. If you just like Bluegrass and Old-Time fiddle music and would like to hang out with friendly folk these events are for you.

Stringed acoustic instruments (and the occasional harmonica) invited. If you can sing, so much the better! We'll pass the hat to help pay for use of the Grange. NO alcohol or drugs allowed.

Get to the Grange: from Olympia west side or S.R. 101, go south on Black Lake Blvd. all the way past Black Lake. Grange is at sharp right-hand turn where the road turns into 62nd Ave. Look for flashing light over road at fire station. Grange is just past it on the right.
