In 2002 SESAME, Students Educating Students About the Middle East, was created by students returning from Palestine after volunteering with the International Solidarity Movement (ISM) and in response the looming threat of war on Iraq. Rachel Corrie's death and the beginning of the occupation of Iraq occurred within days of each other. Since then SESAME has expanded to include solidarity, advocacy, education and action on issues surrounding racism, human rights and foreign policy.

1009 4th Ave in downtown Olympia

Start: 6:00 pm
End: 8:00 pm

If you don't have anything better to do, come join us in to watch the battle of North America played out on the soccer pitch. We'll be down at Charlie's Tavern (620 4th Ave, across from the old Safeway) watching the United States and Mexico play a friendly on the t.v. Starts at 6p.

And, for everyone that is used to football games that last more than four hours, your typical soccer game lasts only about two (including halftime). FYI.
