There will be a benefit for Briana Waters on Friday 2/29 in Olympia at the Eagles Hall! It starts at 7pm in the Eagle's Ballroom. There will be live music, great food and drinks, and a silent auction. The silent Auction closes at 10pm. The music and dancing goes late night!

The bands are Citizen's Band, The Pasties, Magmatone. Later on the bands are: Port of the Sun, The Cause of Thunder, and Doomhawk.

The Eagles Hall is located at 804 E 4th Ave. Directions from I-5: Take Port of Olympia exit. Take Plum Street until 4th Ave. Located on the corner of 4th and Plum.

Briana Waters is a loving mother who is in trial right now in Tacoma for the politically motivated arson at the Center for Urban Horticulture at University of Washington. This is an important case for Olympia. Come find out why and support your community.

Alice Rothchild, physician, activist and author of Broken Promises, Broken Dreams: Stories of Jewish and Palestinian Trauma and Resilience, will speak Tuesday, March 4th from 12-2 pm at The Evergreen State College, Seminar II, C1107 and again from 7-9 pm in at the Worthington Conference Center, St. Martin’s University, 5300 Pacific Avenue SE, in Lacey.

Dr. Rothchild describes her book as “… an intimate journey grappling with the complicated historical legacy of Israel and Palestine and my relationship to these issues as a Jewish American physician, grounded by the traumas of the Holocaust and my family's passionate love of Israel.” Broken Promises, Broken Dreams recounts her work with medical and human rights projects as she examines the reality of life in Israel , the complexity of Jewish Israeli identity and attitudes, and the hardships of Palestinians living in the West Bank and Gaza . Her evocative writing brings to life the voices of people mutually entwined in trauma, and explores individual examples of resilience and resistance.

Drew Hendricks will host a "talk about Detention and Removal Operations, a division of ICE. It is entitled "The Order of Terror."" According to Drew, it "will cover the overview of how this (order of terror) fits into the broader "war on Terra" and how that war (against us, our liberties, and the Constitution) is, in fact, terrorism." It's in the SEM II A1107 building at Evergreen, 6PM Wednesday March 5th. The talk may include a discussion of the Department of Homeland Security project Endgame, a detention and removal contingency.
