Come and paint a tile that will be permanently displayed in the Olympia-Rafah Mural on the Olympia Labor Temple building. Add your voice for peace, in the form of a painted ceramic olive leaf, which will be one of many leaves of a giant painted olive tree. Visually express solidarity with our sister city of Rafah, in the Gaza Strip, and your desire for peace in the middle east -- no experience necessary!

NO IVY DAY AT PRIEST POINT PARK

Olympia Volunteers in Parks is sponsoring an English Ivy removal party at Priest Point Park on Saturday, April 26 from 10am till 1 pm. Join us for this fun, pre-Procession of the Species event and help preserve and restore the forest and shoreline of beautiful Priest Point Park. Meet at Shelter #2 on the Westside of Priest Point Park. Parking is in designated spots only. Bring your favorite gloves and dress for the Weather. Snacks and tools will be provided. No need to RSVP. Native American performance artist James Luna will be visiting the TESC campus and presenting his show on Friday, April 26 at 8:00 pm. This event is free of charge to Evergreen students. Students may reserve seats (one seat per student) by putting their name on a reserved list at the COM Building box office from 12-3 M-F or by calling 867-6833. Faculty may reserve seats for their entire program by emailing their class list to me with the request. Tickets are not handed out in advance. Students may pick up their tickets on the evening of the performance beginning at 6:30 by showing their current Evergreen ID card. Tickets not picked up by 7:45 are released to the general public. Students may also just show up at the Longhouse for the performance and received a free ticket as available on a first come first serve basis. Non-Evergreen students may purchase a ticket for $5.
