Terra Commons will be hosting an Edible Forest Garden Work Party on Saturday May 31st, and Sunday June 1st to establish a demonstration forest garden at Circle Hawk Farm in South East Olympia 9404 Crete St. SE.

During this work party we will be doing hands on learning by sheet mulching lawn and planting an Edible Forest Garden.
Edible Forest Gardens consist of three main layers, with fruit and nut trees as the upper canopy, berries and other edible bushes as the middle layer and perennial vegetables and fruits as the ground cover.
The work party includes:
~Design and layout of trees and shrubs
~Planting trees and shrubs
~Sheet Mulching lawn
~Mushroom Inoculation

We will be there from 10am until 6pm both days with potluck lunches. Feel free to come for both full days, half days or just stop by when you can.
Please Park on the paved part of Crete Street, then walk in. Circle Hawk Farm is the first driveway to the left, come back and you will see us behind the barn.

at the Olympia Free School, 610 Columbia St.

There will be a potluck, readings, and opportunities to trade zines! The purpose of the event is to bring people together in hopes of sharing ideas and making new friends. Everyone who is interested in zines and DIY publishing is welcome! The event is all ages and absolutely free. For more information, please write to olympiazines(at)gmail(dot)com.

Week of Events at Evergreen Sit-In!

All events are in the Sem 1 building on the 4th floor, just outside of administrator Art Costantino’s office. Every event is completely free and open to all. Students and staff (including faculty) are encouraged to come as well as community members. Take some time off from the stressfulness of class and work this week and relax at a musical performance, film screening or educational workshop.
