So, the Oly city council is

So, the Oly city council is going to tell the president, on behalf of we citizens of course, that they need to bring the troops home because the Oly city council, on behalf of it's citizens, says so?

Am I missing something?

We have a street ordinance that is supposedly in enforcement that much of downtown disagree's with. Because of it we have protests. We have recently had a "tent city" erected, which needs the councils attention so that it can decide what steps need to be taken to address the needs/concerns of those involved.  We have city boundaries that have been wonky since the 60's that need cleared up.

So with all of this on the plate, we are going to spend time trying to impress upon the president his need for immediate troop withdrawl? What a waste of time.

You think that's bad.

I am trying to get the Council to take a stand on catalytic converters.

Tough one.

Pro or Con? Wink

Either way as long as they

Either way as long as they want to argue.

The Olympian/The City Council

I could not find a story about this momentous occasion in The Olympian. The City Council passed a resolution calling on congress to immediately commence plans to bring the troops safely home, and to the Olympian it is a non-event. This Resolution will be distributed not only amongst Washington State Congress Members, but among the entire Congress, both houses, 535 members in all.

That's a news story if there ever was one.

Right

Maybe you should write a letter and complain. Obviously it must have been overlooked because it is a huge occasion which will change the war on a large scale.

bother

Why does this bother you so much?

It doesn't bother me, but

It doesn't bother me, but it's a waste of time and basically amounts to the City Council letting its opinion be known.

When is the resolution on bringing the troops home from Kosovo? We've been there what? Coming up on a decade?

Don't forget the troops in Korea, who have been there for a half century.
