Title of Event: International Community Build-It! Convergence

"We are not here to just talk about it...we are here to Build-It!"

Date: Saturday, March 24th, 2007

Time: Doors open at 5pm. Meeting runs from 5:15pm-7pm.

Location: The FreeSchool Building, 610 Columbia Street, Olympia, WA 98501

More info is found here: www.WeInviteYou.org This event is completely free of charge. If you are interested in building and living in ecovillages, housing co-ops, landtrusts, affordable student housing, tent cities, educational housing, hostels or any type of shared housing group, please join us at this event! You are encouraged to bring your ideas and proposals regarding building a new community. We also greatly welcome those who are just curious or interested in living in a community and planning the creation of a community. Read more below.

We will also have a special presentation by Evan Schoepke and Michael Kelly from the Ecocity group regarding building a new Ecocity.

Following this meeting, from 7pm-8pm, we will have an Emergency Solidarity and Support group meeting for Camp Quixote, Olympia's Tent City with a presentation by Camp Quixote members. If you are in an activist or community group and would like to make a 10 minute presentation just show up (and give one starting at 6pm though the event starts at 5:15pm). We have the room reserved until 8pm. If you are a musician or band that can play acoustic, non-electric music and would like to give a 10 minute performance just show up (and give one starting at 6pm). Sorry, we can not have performances that are electric or very loud because of the building restrictions.

Families and children are always very welcome. There is a children's play area for children. It is a Finger-food (snack food) Potluck style meeting. Bring fruits (grapes, tangerines, oranges, etc), vegetables (cherry tomatoes, etc.,) if you have no idea what to bring. Cookies, chips and hummus are always popular and disappear quickly.Wink
