From the Chris Pirillo Blog:

Just when you thought Gnomedex couldn’t get any better, Senator John Edwards signs on as our Keynote. The senator is a long-standing supporter of technology - including podcasting and blogging. Every year, we wonder how we’re going to top ourselves. When conversations started with Senator John Edwards’ office, they were intrigued and enthralled with our approach to content! Sentator Edwards will quickly turn his time over to the Gnomedex audience, fielding questions and fostering discussion over how technology could and should play a role in our world. This is fantastic! I’m sure you’ll agree, no matter your political persuasion. This is a tremendous opportunity to have your voice heard. Does anybody know any political bloggers out there? I don’t know any…

Hmm, I know more than a few political bloggers who are regulars to OlyBlog.Net, so I thought I'd put this here.  Tickets still available for the Cove area, see Gnomedex 6.0 to register.

I was kind of wondering what happend to him.

One of the good guys

I really liked him during the last election and was who I wanted for president. I've been keeping track of him since and he's been doing some great work. After he ?lost? the election, he went to the University of North Carolina and opened up a center for poverty research, the name eludes me, and has been traveling the country speaking and meeting with people about solutions to poverty. Right now, he's preparing to run again in '08, I don't know if he's made it official yet, but he's come out and said he'll run again. Gore/Edwards '08, anybody? Has a nice ring to it, and hey, 12 years of them and we can say goodbye to climate change AND poverty. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

Edwards I might vote for, if

Edwards I might vote for, if there's even a hint of Gore there I would vote republican simply to spite him.

I just have a severe dislike

I just have a severe dislike for the man. I'd go into all of my reasons but the blog technically isn't big enough and I do have to work tomorrow morning.

I'd really like to know

If you could list a few of reasons. Here's why I like him: he served in Vietnam as a combat journalist, was talking about the environment waay before it was cool to do so, same with the internet, voted for the Gulf War, was and is against the Iraq War, since he has been out of office he has travelled the US and the world educating the people about the dangers of climate change, there might be more that I can't think of right now, but that's a good start. To sum it all up, Norm, I just consider him one of the "good" guys. Al Gore seems to genuinely care about our planet and especially the United States.
