May 1 2007 - 10:00am [via email] I live in a small community near the Nisqually Reach area and I am looking for help. Our next door neighbor is Jubilee...a retirement neighborhood for folks over 55. In the last couple of years they have built several hundred homes and now have a proposal before the City of Lacey to built 212 more home. I don't know a lot how to object to these proposals and I'm hoping there are some experienced "environmental activists" who would like to take on this project and object to this type of growth. In order to build the homes that have already been approved, they have cut down hundreds and hundreds of large evergreen trees along the golf course. If this new proposal is approved:
The development is called...Hawks Prairie North Associates,LLC, and the case # is 06-176. The Associate Planner in charge is Sarah Hawkins; she can be reached at 360 491-5642. If you have any suggestions on how to best address this hearing or if you would like to participate, please let me know.
