Creating Peace Within Ourselves, Within Our World

We invite you to join the beloved community to co-create a sand-painted mandala for peace. The sand and mandala form will be in the lobby of Senior Services for South Sound, located in the Olympia Community Center, 222 Columbia St. NW, from September 5-11th. On September 11th at 6 pm, we will convene for a meditative peace walk and ceremony, with offerings from numerous speakers representing the richness of diversity within the many communities that make Olympia the special place that it is. Together we will acknowledge and honor the common threads that connect us all.

The mandala will be available to the community on 9/5 (Tuesday) from 8am to 7pm, 9/6 through 9/8 (Wednesday-Friday) from 8am to 5pm, 9/9 (Saturday) from 1-4pm, and 9/11 (Monday) from 8:30am to 4pm. Senior Services for South Sound is closed on Sunday. Please bring your family and friends to come create and join us in this opportunity to unite in honoring the sacredness of all life.

To receive more information regarding the event, please contact mandalaforpeace@yahoo.com.
