I went to see "Fisherman's Te
Submitted by emmettoconnell on Mon, 11/07/2005 - 9:16am.I went to see "Fisherman's Terminal" on Saturday afternoon. The conflict of the movie, the wannabe corporate Seattle Port commission vs. the Local underdog North Pacific fleet, reminds me a lot of the discussion we're having here on the nature of downtown and funding government services. Essetially, the Port of Seatte wanted to get rid of the fishermen because they weren't enough revenue coming in (compared to turning the terminal into condos).
Pete Knutson, the "topic" of the documentary, was on hand for questions after the movie.
