The Illuminated Ball: A Celestial Journey 2007

Rag Dharma opens the evening!

Saturday, February 3, 2007 at the Eagle's Ballroom (Plum and 4th, Olympia) - 8:00PM-1:00AM

Tickets: $40 per person/ $45 day of show. Over 21 only.
Tickets can be bought at Traditions Fair Trade, 5th and Water St in Olympia.

The Illuminated Ball is formal evening of artful brilliance and glow and is a fundraiser for the 2007 Procession of the Species Celebration. This soiree will include dancing, drinks and horsd'oeuvres, dancing, a silent art auction, Jazz Lounge, and a Lantern art / Brazilian dance performance extrodinaire.

The evening will begin with an illuminated pageant of music and dance. The theme this year is about our inspired journey to reach for the stars! Afterward, we will Dance the night away with Bump Kitchen, a funk/blues/soul band that is sure to have everyone groovin' a little shimmy shaking. Also featured for the evening is the Photic Jazz Lounge where live jazz will be playing in our upstairs getaway. Come dressed to Illuminate in your finest!

Many people make this outrageous event happen. If you would like to be involved this year, there are opportunities for helping with food prep, setting up, cleaning up, poster hanging, and art making and puppeteering!! Your help will also reduce your ticket price. For general volunteer opportunities, please contact Leslie Gowell at: lmglow@gmail.com
