SO CAL'S FAVORITE PARTY PUNK GIRL BAND, "ROCKET" HITS THE ROAD IN 2007

Several Dates Include Shows With Seattle's "The Lashes"

ECHO PARK, CA, January 8, 2007–"Hot new LA girl-band Rocket" (NME, October 2006) rang in the new year by announcing a west coast winter tour.

According to lead-singer Lauren, Rocket just couldn't wait any longer to hit the road: "we had the greatest time playing these cities on last summer's Warped Tour – we are literally counting the minutes until we can go back out."

Several dates are with Seattle power-poppers The Lashes (Red Ink / Columbia) and the tour concludes with a San Diego gig in support of Japanese dance-punks Polysics (Tofu Records) and The Outline (Fearless Records).

ABOUT ROCKET: Rocket is the launching pad for a new generation of pop music. The all-girl band mixes 60's girl group innocence with '70s decibel-damaging, Sunset boulevard beat and '80s glam wham swagger—a volatile combination that leaves one wondering what the results would be if the Shangri-La's crashed the stage during an early Motley Crue gig.

Rocket released their first album, "Too Hot to be Bothered" (Teenacide Records) in the summer of 2004. The follow-up EP, "Girls With Candy Hearts" (also on Teenacide) was released Valentine's day of 2006. Rocket toured from coast-to-coast during the summer of 2006 on the Van's Warped Tour, and has since supported national acts such as Rancid, OK Go, Morningwood, The Sounds and SuicideGirls.

Isn't "the Le Voyeur"

Isn't "the Le Voyeur" redundant? We wouldn't say Tune Stranglers at the The Brotherhood.

PS - Sorry Rick, my editor genes kicked in a bit there.

“One man scorned and covered with scars still strove with his last ounce of courage to reach the unreachable stars; and the world was better for this.

Ok, smartypants.

When you think of the long and gloomy history of man, you will find more hideous crimes have been committed in the name of obedience than have ever been committed in the name of rebellion. -C.P. Snow
