I, James, went to this event to represent olyblog because Rick couldn't make it. The event provided individuals and organizations with an interest in spreading information and viewpoints not normally portrayed in corporate media a chance to connect, discuss, and stratigize. The meeting consisted of first, music and a speech by Mike Honey, then several other speeches, including one by founder of the independent newspaper "Eat the State", Geov Parrish. After the speeches we broke into groups. As I was representing olyblog I met with the indy internet/blog group. Olyblog was brought up as an example of the power than a website can have to connect the community together, and we even discussed setting up a website similar to olyblog, but for Tacoma. (if interested in this contact Jeff at northwestmediaaction@gmail.com).  All and all the conference provided a succesful forum for solidifying old indy media organizations, and creating new ones. For more information, or if interested in future events go to www.mediaaction.blogspot.com, or email progressiveroundtable@yahoo.com.
