"Islamic Center of Olympia is sponsoring a FREE event - open to the public called "Understanding Islam" followed by Question and Answer Session. The speaker is popular, renowned, former Chaplain of the US Army, James Yusuf Yee. The event is taking place on Wednesday evening, Sept, 20th, 2006 from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm. at the Timberland LACEY library, 500, College st, Lacey, WA - 98503. In the current political and domestic situation, we need to promote understanding of other faiths in order to help healing, reduce anger and hatred and help appreciate our difference. Ignorance leads to fear; Come, meet local muslims and learn about their faith-tradition. FREE Qurans and literature shall be provided."
