Five Percent

5% of the World's Population Consumes a Third of Its Resources and Makes Nearly Half of It's Waste. That 5% is US.

I saw this at the library, last February.

It's also important to note that if the rest of the world's people consumed at the same rate as people in the USA, then it would require the resources equivalent to 5 or 6 planet Earths.

You're part of the problem

You my friend are an American, thus you're the problem.  Just move to another country and get rid of the guilt.

Funny it is stuck on that

Funny it is stuck on that shit pile that produces far more pollution than a modern vehicle

Good point...

What's Funny

It would be even "funnier" if it was posted on a later model luxury vehicle. The volkswagen pick-up that it was posted on was probably over 25 years old. I know gasoline consumption is a problem, but there is a whole heck of pollution in the manufacturing end that gets eliminated when people keep cars, rather than constantly swapping for the newest model.

Peace is Possible!

This vehicle is fueled by irony.

LOL........well said sir

Not to mention

the aspirations of a childless German vegetarian who loved puppies.

People wouldn't swap for the new models

as often if there wasn't a market for the older models...even the 25-year-old, "acceptable" models.  Anyway, 90% of the world doesn't even own a car.  Funnier on a Hummer?
