Free Choir Videos

The Olympia Free Choir is an all-ages, no try-out, community choir. The focus is on fun and friendliness. Everyone is welcome. There are two weekly practices, one is from 5:30 to 7 PM on Tuesday at The Northern (321 E 4th Ave). The other is on Sunday from 4 to 6 PM at 617 Thomas St. NW. Here are three videos, from a recent practice, to give you an idea of what it's all about. [This Sunday's practice will be in the living room of the Fertile Ground Guest House, as part of the Gender Jam festivities.]

Practice question

Berd - This is great! I was just telling Rick that I'd like to sing. Well, actually I said I wanted private singing lessons 'cause I want some skills...But this looks fun. Two questions: 1) What day of the week is the second practice (the 4-6 on Thomas)? 2) Do folks need to commit to both practices each week? Or, is it one or the other? What is the commitment? Thanks for sharing these sweet tunes!

Puck has the answers!

See below. Though it's important to add that THIS Sunday's practice will be at a different location for the Gender Jam. Puck is the location public?

yes

okay, I just saw that you already indicated that Sunday's practice will be at Fertile Ground as part of the Gender Jam festivities.

practice...

this sunday we're meeting as part of GenderJam, 4-6 in the living room of fertile ground guesthouse - http://www.fertileground.org/ - it’d be a great first visit to choir: there should be lots of other new folks too, and we’re focusing on making sure that everybody is able to feel super welcome.
