I Saw

the movie for Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser the other day for the first time and I seriously have doubts about beef now!

I'll bet the book Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl: Written by Herself by Harriet A. Jacobs
will be really good.  I'm going to have to look that one up myself.

I've read:

Beloved by Toni Morrison
Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison
How Stella Got Her Groove Back by Terry McMillan (and enjoyed the movie!)

all 3 were very good!

Thanks for the feedback on

Thanks for the feedback on the books! Yeah, I've changed my mind on a lot of the mainstream dietary habits by just being open enough to read and watch informational films about it.

Please keep in mind that Earthlings will be showing at Capital Theater on Monday, March 24 at 6:30 pm. It's yet another one of those horizon broadening and eye opening works for those willing to take on a perspective other than that of mainstream entitlement. Judging from your reading list and openness to information from change-oriented perspectives, you seem to be one of those people. :)
