Dec 1 2007 - 7:00pm Dec 2 2007 - 1:00am Maybe you didn't go to prom. Maybe you absolutely loved prom. Whatever the case: this is your opportunity to have the prom you always wanted and support incarcerated youth. The Night of Magic will feature live bands including: The Barnacles Gumar's Magical Midi Band The Balls Out Booze Band Plus DJ's, belly dancers, stilt-walkers, magicians, palm readers, poy dancers and non-stop dancing! It's about to be magical so don't miss out on the fun. Tickets on sale at the TESC bookstore. $10.00 for a single $15.00 for a couple. All proceeds go to GATEWAYS. Gateways for Incarcerated Youth is a non-profit organization working toward offering equal educational opportunities for incarcerated youth. The program offers a college class in which Evergreen students learn side by side with students who are incarcerated as well as a diversity class and culture groups. All proceeds go toward paying tuition for the incarcerated men. The program also provides books, other materials and scholarships for the men once they are released. |

Back on topic, I think anything that helps incarcerated youth get back on track to rejoining society is a great thing.

I can't speak for this, but the prom standard is most certainly a black tie-type deal. In fact, I think that's the last time I wore a suit like that.
