Hope some enjoy!  I'm going to try and make some this year if I get the chance.

DANDELION  TONIC

Pour 1 gallon boiling water over 3 quarts of dandelion blossoms. Let stand 24 hours.  Strain and add 5 pounds light brown sugar, juice and rind of 2 lemons, and 2 oranges.  Let boil 10 minutes.  Strain.  When cool add 1/2 cake of yeast. Put in a crock and let it work.  Bottle and put corks in loose until it stops working.  After it stops working, put a raisin in each bottle and cork tight.
One wine glass full before each meal.

Looks like fun!

That's a lot of sugar! I've never seen a wine recipe...very interesting :)What does "let it work" mean? Does it bubble?

I'm not sure it's truly "wine"

Letting it "work" means to stop fizzing.  IIRC "half a cake of yeast" equals 2.5 regular packets, but I'm not sure.

Yeast conversions

A "cake of yeast" would be 1 ounce of compressd yeast

I Made Homemade Blackberry Cordial

one year for Christmas gifts.  The worst part was picking 16 cups of blackberries!  The rest of it was a breeze and turned out delicious!
