Just bought a MkIII British Enfiled rifle built in 1917.  All matching serial nmbers, purchased just after WWII as surplus, no import marks, excellent (90%) condition, wonderful stock.  $50!!!!!

Neighbor of mine needed some money.  I feel so dirty now.  But I have done the same in the past....

Anyone with some .303 Brit ammo, message me and I'll be happy to share my good fortune!

Nice find

I was never a fan of the .303 round but did discover it is MUCH easier to find than say, 7.7 arisaka rounds.

Do you have

An arisaka?  I understand the brass can be had now for reloading.  I wouldn't mind having an arisaka, I'm told they have a nearly indestructable action.

gun fun

Good Score! refurbishing old tech is way fun, and guns are no exception-

I grew up with certified "gun nuts" (and I say that in a good way, no angst here), and one of the best experiences was with a custom made hand rifle at Paul Bunyan range (jus plunking).

-the gun featured a big stock you weave you hand into (I'm sorry, but the name/type has slipped, this being all of 20+ years ago).

My uncle had two that he made, and bolt and a "semi" auto (actually full with gas breach, but no autofire...single rnd only, clip fed)--

--the .222 flechette was fielded by a .44 MAG "long-rifle" cartridge with little recoil and simply obliterated the little metal targets we shot at--

such fun, and good times- enjoy
