Jul 23 2008 - 7:00pm Jul 23 2008 - 8:30pm How the War on Iran has already started July 23, 7-8:30 p.m., Traditions Cafe (300 5th Ave. SW), Free In recent years, the buildup to a U.S. war on Iran has led to a series of hostilities and threats that have attempted to debilitate the country's soverignty. Although outright war hasn't been declared, the actions of both the U.S. and Israel have went to a higher level of intensity in the waning months of the Bush administration. Come to this Olympia Movement for Justice and Peace presentation featuring Dr. Zoltan Grossman who will give a powerpoint presentation on the U.S. imperialist history with Iran, the country's geography (places and people) and a basic update of recent events. The presentation will start with an open floor for any community announcements people have. The event is free and OMJP will be accepting donations which can be tax-deductible. |

Impirialist History
Submitted by IamNoOne on Tue, 07/22/2008 - 5:35am.Oh, its our very good buddy Zoltan the ESC red. Sheite. I might just come and watch. Impirialist history with Iran. Oh boy! Yes we supported the Shah. His secret police were animals at best but he was a friend in a region ready to pop like a ripe boil. Now, where American or US citizens torturing or abusing Iranian citizens? No. Iranians employed by the Shah were doing that. Now I dont mean to mix apples and oranges but if you think for a minute those mullahs running the show over there under Islamic law are any better, your head is filled with noodles and nuts. You probably suffer from Zoltanism. But hey, I dont want to invade Iran nor do I covet their oil reserve. I would be in favor of receiving an official apology from their government for the unlawful incarceration of our embassy employees back during the darkest of times...the Carter years. Since that does not seem to be forthcoming I am willing to consider option B. Need a clue? High altitude release. Low altitude burst. How's that for impirialism, eh what?
