Repost

Hey all,

I have been working on the Seattle leg of the Global Human Rights Torch Relay for about 8 months now, and it is finally happening. When China failed to adhere to it's promises about improving their human rights issues the Colaition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) began this event to bring awareness to the crimes against humanity happening in China and around the world. Here is the official website.

Our event in Seattle is going to be a march from Hing Hay park in Chinatown to Westlake park where we are putting on a free concert. We'll have speakers regarding Falun Gong, Tibet, Burma, Democracy advocates, Human Rights lawyers, and hopefully Darfur and Christians.

We have some great bands coming to play including:
HeartThink (yours truly with Devin Smith and Gordon Elliott)
Kels Boreen (aka quest lune)
Carrel Casey
Daniel Finn
Artis the Spoonman (check this guy out on youtube!)
J Minus (these guys rock!)
So I hope you'll come and check out our event. the march begins at 10am (gethering at around 9:30) and the concert begins at 11am+/-. We need to rally 300 people for the march so the city will shut down the street.

Grab some friends and come help us make a strong statement:
CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY AND THE OLYMPICS CANNOT COEXIST IN CHINA!
