As I was loading up my car this morning I left a green and grey backpack in the street in the block between WSECU and the downtown library. When I came back a few minutes later it was gone. I need the data on the computer that was in my backpack! If anyone finds it I'll pay them $100. Please call 267 334 6786 or reply here...thanks!

Why...

Would you ever do that? Was there another expected outcome?
»

I suppose the other expectation was

that the backpack would still be there.
»

Well,

I synergize with your sentiment, but that is an invalid expectation in the post-9/11 world we live in.
»

I know, after 9/11

everything changed. Even my blood type. I'm now a type uh-o.

Oh, sorry about that lost backpack by the way. Hope you get it or your data back or both.

»

Really? 9/11?

What could 9/11 possibly have to do with a lost backpack? I would argue that that backpack would have been gone whether someone flew jets into a building on the other side of the country or not. Maybe your kidding and I'm just being an asshole. Maybe I'm an asshole... hmmmm.
»

Yeah,

maybe someone is just kidding...hmmmm.
»

nich ..

Has to have been kidding. No one would say the word "synergize" and expect anything following to be taken seriously.

Wow give 'em a break.

It is possible that they forgot to place the item in their car and drove back as soon as they noticed to find the item gone.

I sincerely doubt they left it out on purpose.

G. did point out elsewhere

G. did point out elsewhere that Olympia has the highest ADD/ADHD/AD&D cluster than anywhere else.
»

AD&D??

Attention Dungeons & Dragons?
»

Ooh ooh,

Maybe it was a Backpack of Holding.
»

How many hitpoints do

How many hitpoints do caimans have? How about the Grand Caiman?
»

yeah, maybe it was that

and maybe we can talk about dirigibles for an HOUR!
»

Oh man...

I've logged about 60 hours of coversation regarding rigid, lighter-than-air craft. You don't know the half of it.

I thought Olympia's hipster

I thought Olympia's hipster territory was a Zeppelin-Free Zone.
»

Ha!

Wrong! You should see some of the Zeppelins wandering around downtown. Sometimes, when just walking around Oly.. BLAMMO! Smacked right in the kisser by some over-opinionated Zepp. Those suckers are a might righteous for being so.. BlimpTastic.

I dare you to sing Stairway

I dare you to sing Stairway to Heaven at Charlie's Karaoke. I triple-dog dare you to sing it at The Crippler.

Proof

Yeah I'd believe that, and I think this thread has become documentable proof of that.
