Masterworks Choral Ensemble Presents: Jingle – A Christmas Celebration

Event:
Sat, 12/03/2016 - 7:30pm

The winter holiday season would be far from complete without Masterworks Choral Ensemble’s festive concert of Christmas carols and popular songs of the season.  Join MCE the evening of December 3 at the Washington Center for “Jingle – A Christmas Celebration.”

It’s the perfect venue to share the holiday spirit and unforgettable music with the whole family.  Masterworks’ concert will bring you a sense of joy and renewal, along with a fine dose of nostalgia and an ample helping of fun.

Count on traditional favorites, some delightful surprises, plus a chance to sing along.  “Amen! Tell It On The Mountain!”, takes the audience on a bluesy, gospel holiday ride.

“Bell Carol,” a ringing adaptation of a Ukrainian carol, breathes joy and energy into the darkest December night.

Timeless standards like “O Come, All Ye Faithful” and “Do You Hear What I Hear?” share the evening with modern, witty takes on the season like “The Twelve Days Of A Re-gifted Christmas” and “Text Me Merry Christmas”.  Talented soloists and small ensembles alternate with the full choir.

An extra attraction is Benjamin Martin performing on alto sax.  Benjamin won MCE’s Youth Music Competition at the high school level.  Now a sophomore at North Thurston High, he plays in several local ensembles and studies both piano and saxophone.

The concert begins at 7:30 pm.  Tickets are $25 for adults, $21 for Seniors, and $13 for students.  Purchase tickets online at Masterworks’ secure website MCE.org, at the Washington Center Box Office, 360-743-8586, or at Washington Center’s olytix.org.
