I put myself in the $50-75

I put myself in the $50-75 range.  About $20-30 per week at one of the Thriftway stores, with the remainder going to Grocery Outlet.  I probably spend about $55 per week on average, sometimes less, depends on what luxury items I want.  This ranges from 1/5 to 1/10 or less of my weekly income depending on sales that week.

I'm asking this, because prices are going up.  I haven't changed my eating habits, but am thinking about doing so.  How have you been affected by this? Same, better or worse? Prices are expected to rise several more times this year.

I ran into an Olyblogger downtown today and over coffee discussed this a bit, which is what brought it to mind.

Personally I am going to stockpile a bit more food above and beyond my usual stores, and would encourage people to do the same.  Lock in a bit extra before the prices go up.  Maybe give a little bit more to the foodbank as well if you can.

With spring upon us, it is also time to gather many tasty wild greens.

Remember, full grown dandelions make terrible greens.  Find the really young ones.

I am going to write someting on gathering local wild greens soon.  May post it here, may post it on my blog, I'm not sure yet...
