"to provide medical to Iraqi

"to provide medical to Iraqi children who have been severely injured by the U.S.’s weapons."

What about the kids "severely injured" by suicide bombers, or in the mine fields created by the local resistance?

Pretty inflamatory statement, with an obvious political agenda.

What about helping all the kids in this country that need medical assistance?

I'm all for helping the children, everywhere. But we should be helping at home first.

I'm all for helping the child

I'm all for helping the children too. Ideally beginning with not bombing them, not strafing them, not landmining them, not starving them, not abusing them....you know the drill. Here at home or elsewhere.

Ultimately, isn't "elsewhere" our home too? I don't know that borders manage to keep we humans all apart. Isn't the world our home, shouldn't we treat the world as our respected home?

To the main point of my response: why is a common critique of any person or group who is doing A that they aren't doing B? I seriously don't get it.

Yes the need is immense and varied. Why not let each group do what they can, it all adds up. Having a goal and mission does help with working towards it.

I don't see anything wrong with having a focus to ones work. Having a focus doesn't exclude someone else having a different focus.

It would stem from having to

It would stem from having to see the US portrayed as the "bad guy" all of the time.

I'm all for a criticism of the government and US policy but I also try to keep my criticism in a both historical and global perspective.

I can understand that. But do

I can understand that. But does pointing out that something is wrong automatically mean that the pointer is also implicitly stating that -everything- is wrong?

If I say x,y,z is wrong in what Joe is doing, does that mean that I've somehow stated that -everything- he does is wrong, and also that I'm somehow not aware of what Jill, John, and Jose have done wrong? And right?

I'm honestly stymied by this communication glitch.
