National Socialist Movement rally photos taken by David Lynn here in Oly, most likely copies of them taken from a site I hastily put together, or Dave Lynn's own site, were grabbed and used by the NSM on their Overthrow site and their Nationalist88 site  (scroll down to Jan 23 entry).

They did not properly credit David Lynn as photographer.

More on the flip...

Their ripping off of his work has an unexpected bonus. Some of the photos are now captioned. We now can identify Justin Boyer, Seattle Unit Leader. And very possibly Jim Ramm, Portland Unit Leader.
Several articles are available on the web about Jim Ramm.

The Anti-Defamation League has available a visual database of symbols that extremists use.

NSM symbol

Of course, symbols move through our society in many ways and we can not automatically assume in all cases that a particular symbol worn by someone means the same thing as worn by someone else. The database still is informative. Eventually I plan to work with David's photos and analyze them further.

Traditionally, before the naz

Traditionally, before the nazi's desecrated it, the swastika was used to symbolize the spinning nature of an active human energy center.

The Overthrow site is especia

The Overthrow site is especially funny, since their "person number eleven" is actually an OPD police officer named Matt Renschler. They also don't know how to count heads very well in that long shot, with the flags. Video shows that there were eight out of town folks and one local, making nine - including the woman who was there. Oh, well. It's not the first time they've lied, it won't be the last time I'm sure!
