The event is located on Portland Ave. between E. 24th and E. Fairbanks Ave. Take Portland Ave. exit off I-5 and head east.

There will be a march to the federal court house, the rally will start at around 1 p.m.

A carpool will be leaving at 10:30 A.M. (or shortly thereafter) from Olympia's Westside parking lot at Division and Harrison!

Here's a link to more information: Feb 4th: 13th Annual NW Leonard Peltier March in Tacoma.

Be there!

Can anyone locate this quote

Can anyone locate this quote from an academically acceptable source?

Norman Zigrossi: "Indians are a conquered nation and the FBI is merely acting as a colonial police force."

"When you’re conquered, the people you’re conquered by dictate your future."

I can't seem to find it anywhere but independent media and internet message boards and am curious just when/to whom this was said.

Thanks.

here is what I found. Norman

here is what I found. Norman Zigrossi, FBI deputy commander in Rapid City, South Dakota, spoke of native Americans in the following terms to David Weir and Lowell Bergmann of Rolling Stone magazine: They're a conquered nation. And when you are conquered, the people you are conquered by dictate your future. This is a basic philosophy of mine. If I'm part of a conquered nation, I've got to yield to authority...[The FBI] must function as a colonial police force.(56) quoted in Rolling Stone, April 7, 1977 and requoted in Quoted in Johansen/Maestas, p. 78.Wasi'chu: The continuing Indian wars.
