It also turns out that we're talking about a lot more water than originally reported (400 acre feet per year): In August 2005, the brewery had rights to withdraw up to 7,420 acre-feet a year for industrial purposes, according to the Washington State Department of Ecology. An acre-foot is about 325,851 gallons.
