This is a test. Who else in OlyBlog saw it?

Yes, you are correct sir. That's an example of just how forgettable that particular celestial event really was. A mere smear upon the sky on the far western horizon.

I didn't see it. What sort of test is this, anyway? Oh I did see Halley, in N.M., and was not impressed. Does that count?

Oh, my dear Sarah. When the caimans come, may God have mercy on your soul.

As you can see this was a spelling bee to flush out the old folks in OlyBlog. And as you probably guessed, that Rick character must be a really old guy!!!

"When" the caimans come? So what is that opposably thumbed scaly creature which is gnawing on my front door right now?

I'm suspicious about all this comet talk. Is this a trap?

Are you Admiral Ackbar?

Uh oh. A warning that those of us who are aging are akin to comets streaking through the sky?

Aye, my fellow Evergroover. A

Aye, my fellow Evergroover. And here's something more terrifying than caimans, or pathetic losers who prance around in Nazi suits, or evil clowns who appear out of invisible doors, or that guy in Bayview. That something has a number. 50!!!!

That numeral deserves a healthy dose of fear. Once that number is crossed, your cranium is tested as your brain cells go beserk and slam wildly against the inner surface of your skull. Life, as you know it, ceases to exist. And the horrible slide toward the inevitable conclusion of our mortal existence becomes ever more apparent as the parents before us, and even some of our very own generation, cross the divide between this nonsense we are now experiencing and the great mystery, from which no traveler has returned to give us a full account (the book Life after Life shows us a toe in the water).

Anyway, after considering this, a caiman biting off a limb is no big deal, right?
