Once that number is crossed, your cranium is tested as your brain cells go beserk and slam wildly against the inner surface of your skull. Life, as you know it, ceases to exist. And the horrible slide toward the inevitable conclusion of our mortal existence becomes ever more apparent as the parents before us, and even some of our very own generation, cross the divide between this nonsense we are now experiencing and the great mystery, from which no traveler has returned to give us a full account (the book Life after Life shows us a toe in the water).
Anyway, after considering this, a caiman biting off a limb is no big deal, right?
