» I've been visiting Washington, DC for the last week. It's great to see where this whole "United States"-business got started. I counted 11 representatives on the floor while I was at the Capitol building. Our tax dollars at work.

The Library of Congress is tres cool. A lot of references to monotheism and God, too. It only further solidified my interpretation of the First Amendment toward religion.
The ultimate example of government confiscation of private property (Arlington National Cemetary) is also quite an experience.

I think every adult American should have to watch one of those beheading videos. I would bring into perspective just how Abu Ghraib issue pales in comparison.
