Who has the cheapest gas in Olympia?

Does anyone know which station has the cheapest gas in Olympia? If we can track prices at various locations, I'll post them here so everyone can benefit.

Maybe someday we can get off the stuff.

[update 9/20/05] Rob points out in the comments that CITGO is the distributor for Petróleos de Venezuela. Rob suggests that maybe price should not be the ultimate factor in determining where to buy gas. Where are the CITGO stations? And how does CITGO compare in price?

CITGO gas stations stock fuel which does not originate in the Middle East. I have found this to be a source of agreement when talking with right wingers. Most people don't like supporting Saudi Fiefdoms, Greedy Western CEOs et al. at the fuel pump.

By purchasing gasoline / fuel / other petroleum products, your money also benefits the social democracy of the Venezuelan state and People.

The ARCO near the courthouse is usually cheapest, that and Costco. However, Rob is right about CITGO. They are just so far out of the way.

Rob, "just so far out of the way" is a relative term. There's a CITGO just off 101 just before it splits off forever into I-5, on the community-college side of 101. It's quick in and quick out. I wish I could tell you it's cheaper as well as better politics, but I'm so p.c. I didn't even check.

I live and work in downtown Oly. The farthest I go out is the Eastside Co-Op, I get gas at Jerry's. I try my hardest to avoid Lacey and Tumwater at all costs.

It's funny how Hugo Chavez is now the head of a "social democracy." I don't disagree because, at this point, that's what it is. Wouldn't have called it as such when he came into power, though.

Why do you say that? He was elected (twice?), was he not? My understanding is that the undemoctratic forces were those that tried (unsuccessfully) to overthrow him. He remains very popular among the have-nots in the country, due to his redistrubution of oil revenues. Have you seen the documentary "The Revolution will no be Televised"?

He has only been elected once, back in '98. His re-election bid won't be until next year. I was referring to the two failed coup attempts in '92 that he led. Of course there's also the part where, after elected, he consolidated power. I'm not quite sure how popular he is in Venezuela this instant. I just Google'd his approval rating and (gadzooks!) it's near where President Bush's is. EDIT: Nope, haven't seen that documentary, either. I'll be sure Netflix sends it to me. Off on the region of the world but, have you seen "Death in Gaza?" Incredible.
