This was drawn in 1982. Note the little creature by the title.

I suspect hypnosis is being employed here. Note the use of pattern, the action indicators, the caption of the post, and our attention drawn to a specific image. And "Cranium Frenzy" is just another term for "Brain Washing".

In my own defense I can only

In my own defense I can only say I was simply the vehicle for forces more powerful than my sorry mortal self. I am a mere pebble in the shoe of good occupied by the foot of evil. My eternal sole is at risk, what a heel I am, but I should hold my tongue. The caiman influence is a shoe-in when it comes to my resistance, so please don't give me the boot. My comments might be laced with levity, but really I'm tied down by this curse.

"'Tis dangerous when the baser nature comes
Between the pass and fell incensed points
Of mighty opposites."

By the way, you might be amused to know that a part of the cranium is known as "The Circle of Willis."

Shameless plug: This comic, and many others, can be purchased at the Danger Room, America's Best Comic Shop! I'm not kidding. In comic circles, Olympia is extremely fortunate to have this shop, as it champions the self-publishing small press, yes, hyper-local cartoonists. And contrary to conventional business sense, they thrive. Something really unique and special is going on right here under our noses. I won't lapse into esoteric comic book history, but Olympia now holds a special place in that lore.

Danger Room is wonderful. Pat

Danger Room is wonderful. Pat & Kendra and staff contribute so much to our community. When my son and I first moved here, Danger Room quickly became almost his second home. Now he is 25 and still shopping there.

Comic Book Festival

I love the Danger Room. Next Saturday (June 9, 2007) they will have their annual comic book festival at the Olympia Center and the Capitol Theater. Check it out at http://www.olympiacomicsfestival.org/
