From the Olympian:

A new nonprofit organization in Thurston County will provide two community services in one: saving perfectly good furniture from taking a trip to the dump, and providing free furniture to homeless people who have gotten into affordable housing but can't afford much else.
The Thurston County Furniture Bank officially will start today. Volunteers will pick up used furniture for free and deliver it to peo-ple who have called in or been referred to the organization because they can't afford furniture.

If you need furniture or would like to donate yours, call Donna Kelly at 360-250-9235. Furniture is free to anyone who needs it, and pickup of used furniture also is free.

(This is such a very cool idea.)

Quasar Floor Model TV to Donate

I just returned to Olympia after 15 years living/working overseas. The TV was in storage and is clearly out dated but 'far as I can tell', it works. Someone suggested making a donation to your organization? Feel free to contact me at 360.584.9818. Will need to be picked up. Thanks in advance.
