Conversations about the choices we make in every aspect of our lives: from inner peace (how we think of ourselves), to community peace (how we take care of those around us), to world peace (how we treat those who believe, look or act different than ourselves).

Each month we will focus on one aspect of life, from the very personal to the very global. Topics to include, but not limited to: veteran’s issues: dispute resolution techniques; compassionate (non-violent) communication; how the federal, state and local budgets affect peace; police vs. peace-keepers; road rage; and Peace Scouts (adults & children learning co-operatively about peace issues).

Together we will hear from 2 or 3 speakers on a subject, from their point of view. This will last no more than ½ hour, or so. We will then entertain a conversation amongst ourselves on the issue.

Monuments to Peace:

Jo Ann Mitchell Young – Jo Ann and others say, “Join us in planning, designing and building a structure dedicated to a culture of peace for the children of Washington State and the world.
