To some in congress, and political government elsewhere, this is just exactly that - a game. A cruel, insidious one, but just a game, at that.
There are politicians who realize that war is a terrible reality. Being forced to run down a young child in a moving vehicle due to the potential presence of an IED is an unnacceptable reality as we evolve as human beings. No one should be in that situation, on either side of the bumper.
The continuation of the occupation of Iraq is an assault on the value of the lives of Iraqis and American military service men and women.
It is about time for real people, who see through the lies and fabrications of political end games - people like Jack Murtha, to take this to the next level and show these Democrats how to stand up for what is right.
Ultimately the choice is ours to make. The cartoon does have it right. But will we as voters have many real decisions when we take our voices to the polls?
