From the Olympian:

Whether it’s a clarinet that lost its appeal after six months of squeaking, or a trombone that was faithfully toted to class each day until high school graduation, used band instruments can be spared a life sentence of storage thanks to at least one South Sound nonprofit organization.

I remember seeing a middle sc

I remember seeing a middle school jazz band when I was in the 4th or 5th grade at Madison Elementary. They had an electric guitar player in that band. I remember liking that a lot, and maybe that was one of those subconscious influences that had me playing the guitar by high school. Of course, I don't know if jazz band still exists... I have a tuba that ran amok.

I have a tuba that ran amok. It is really crazy. It plays John Philip Sousa medlies all day for no apparent reason. I locked it in the closet many weeks ago and feed it through a narrow slot I cut in the door panel. Last year I put it in my truck and drove it out to the wilds of Stevens County, where I released it in the woods. But it did one of those "incredible journey" things with a wayward flute and toy piano. It was back on my porch within two months, a bit battered and more disturbed than ever. Any advice on what I can do about this?
