Message: "Please, please, just bail me out this one time and I'll never again ..."

(Cranium Frenzy 8 (1995))

Ding!:
(1) Accompanied by a musical note. The sound of the Earth being blown up and torn asunder after the Big G unleashes terrible bolts at our planet. (Cartoon Loonacy 1 (1984))
(2) [OlyBlog regulars need to take special note of this one, seeing as it was created 'way back in 1981!] Accompanied by a musical note, the misanthrope Max, who lives in a cardboard box near a swamp at the edge of town, has an idea which is in the form of a smiling lightbulb in a thought balloon, and hence the "Ding" sound. What is his idea? I'll let the panels tell the story and let your imaginations fill in the graphics:
Maxwell spent all night instructing the alligators and crocodiles of the swamp--
The next day was a happy one for Maxwell ...
There were alligators in the escalators--
Crocodiles in the office files
Havoc in the toilet bowls--
Chaos with the bookstore moles--
No one was safe, but Maxwell was very, very happy! "I love it!"
The newspapers grumbled!
The existentialists whined! ...
Religious leaders wailed ...
Political leaders blamed each other for the situation-- "'Gator lover!" "Soft on crocks!"
Congress held an investigation (an alligator is shown, saying, "I plead the Fifth.")
The police took a hard line and cracked down on the reptiles!
The crocodiles were sent to outer space--
The alligators were made into shoes--
Order was restored
The world breathed a sigh of relief "Whew!"
And everyone was happy again!
With new shoes for all!
Maxwell went underground--
Only to occasionally re-emerge at night--
And smile like a crocodile!
(Cranium Frenzy 1 (1981))
(3) Ed gets an idea, complete with lightbulb and musical notes. (Random Reflections (1976))
