One of the really interesting/wonderful things I've picked up on since dipping my toe in the urban art movement is the worldwide sense of community. Artists are sharing their art in a manner that leads to wide spread criticism/copying/inspiration, and it's amazing watching the network expand globally. For an excellent example of the global scope one need only peruse the Wooster Collective for a few minutes to see the mounting wave.

One night a few years ago as I was tangentially web browsing I came across a really interesting website called Graffiti Archaeology. Needless to say it stuck with me and fueled my notion of the urban landscape as ephemeral sculpture/canvas. Graffiti Archaeology updated it's news page today...and beyond f'ng awesome Olympia now has its very own page.
