What you'd get for your 100k

Right now in Tacoma downtown condos are running between $350 and $400 a square foot. A $100,000 condo would run between 250 and 300 square feet. I'm probably wrong on the square footage because the building costs for the smaller units are higher. Think closer to 200-250 for your 100k. I'm not sure you'd get any on-site parking for your 100k so you should also consider investing in a very compact folding bike. I have nothing against small living spaces, I kind of actually prefer them, but to charge premium prices for such spaces is just outrageous. Think about this, a two bedroom 1200 square foot condo in downtown Olympia will probably go for close to half a million bucks. It must be all that granite in the counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and Pergo flooring. That kind of money doesn't get you any kind of water view, want a water view and think closer to $600 to 800 a square foot.

The answers to the poll

The answers to the poll might be inaccurate. The smallest option is $0 to $100,000. There's a huge difference between someone who can't hardly afford anything and someone who's able to purchase a $100,000 home.

$

Mer, I put it as 0 - $100, 000  because many families around Olympia are not able to afford a $100, 000 home & I wanted all incomes represented.

I, and many people I know,

I, and many people I know, couldn't afford to buy a house period. There should be a "none" choice. My vote makes it look like I could afford $100,000. Merwyn's right.
