OlyTrivia: Hendricks Rexall Drugs

Mr. Hendricks was also a Republican State Representative in the 1970s, when this photo was taken. I enjoyed killing time by thumbing through the large collection of LP records he had for sale just to enjoy the newest album cover graphics. Once in awhile I'd even buy one.

The site of his store is-- where?

Da

Actually, Hendricks Rexall Drug was sort of an appendix to the Petersons. An opening between the stores connected them inside.

J.P. Patches Trivia

When this building opened almost 50 years ago, I remember going to Peterson's to see J.P. Patches, who was there to promote the new store.

Ah, history...

Mr. Hendrick's daughter was my 5th grade teacher in the 1970s. She used to take us on historic walking tours on nice days. I credit her with my lifelong love of history.

Where did you go to school?

History appears to be such an undervalued topic these days. Good to hear it was promoted locally somewhere.
