"Don't Shed Blood for Oil!"
"Don't shed blood for oil"

Is it fascism yet?
Is it fascism yet?

This sign reminds me of the Jim Davis cartoon, Garfield. Garfield once asked, "Are we having fun yet?" This sign is sort of like a sick and twisted opposite version of Garfield's question. As in, "Are we in hell yet?"

There are signs of all flavors suited to different tastes and styles. So, if you want to speak out against the current (or impending) fascism that we face as Americans, and/or you would like to hold signs and interact with large numbers of members of the community, you are welcome to attend the weekly sign-holding vigil at Percival Landing. It's on Fridays from 4:30pm until 6pm.

There are a lot of signs to choose from. Not all are about fascism! Some simply say, "Peace." Others say things ranging from, "It's about oil," to "The war is illegal." Other ones read: "Choose nonviolent solutions," or "Have the Courage to Live Nonviolently."

Have the Courage to Live Nonviolently

There is also a weekly vigil on Wednesdays at Sylvester Park from 12 Noon until 1pm. It's on the NW corner of the park, at the intersection of Capitol Way and Legion Ave.
