excuse me
Submitted by rebecca on Tue, 11/13/2007 - 7:50pm.Excuse me, but did that guy say, "I wasn't breathing, I was coughing"? Maybe he had difficulty breathing, maybe he felt scared that he wouldn't be able to breath, etc. But the statement he made is simply not possible. If he was coughing, he was breathing. If he wasn't breathing, he wasn't coughing. I know that one incident is just small piece of the picture --- but that statement caught my attention because I've taken Basic First Aid and one of the things they covered was - well, treatment for someone who's choking and not breathing is different from someone who is choking but breathing.
