WASHINGTON - Most Americans and a majority of people in Britain, France and South Korea say torturing terrorism suspects is justified at least in rare instances, according to AP-Ipsos polling.
The polling, in the United States and eight of its closest allies, found that in Canada, Mexico and Germany people are divided on whether torture is ever justified. Most people opposed torture under any circumstances in Spain and Italy.

The really skewed part is usually it's 100 or 1000 people polled - not 100,000 with a wide range of backgrounds. Anyone can poll a small number of people in a given political climate and come up with a finding that justifies whatever it is they want.

Personally, I do support certain instances of using torture as an information gathering technique.
I said it about the death penalty and, although jackson is going to come and tell me about the broken system, I'll say it again: No one person is bigger than the system or the Republic (or "Empire," depending on how you want to view the US).
