The attached letter was sent to me through my media contact at the LNC.

Dear Bias in Northwest News Coordinators:

The editorial board of Little Nickel Classifieds would like to express its dismay at being excluded from the list of papers that are not invited to your inclusive meeting on Bias in Northwest News. As a long-standing member of the Northwest communications community, we are as deserving of this exclusion as any of the papers mentioned in your notice.

An established brand name for over 35 years, the Little Nickel is a leading provider of commercial news in the Pacific Northwest. Our circulation of 460,000 over 8,000 locations from Bellingham, to Olympia, to Eugene makes the Little Nickel one of the most widely read weekly papers in the nation. In other words, the Little Nickel is big business. So big in fact that we are asking our employees to decide if we should change our name to the Big Nickel, the Little Dime, or the Nickel and Dime.

Speaking of employees, the Little Nickel employs a staff of 165 professionals in 10 offices throughout the Northwest, including seven in Olympia. In solidarity with their fellow staff, the Olympia-7 will not attend your October 26-27 event even though they are tacitly invited.

We only hope that notices for future B.I.N.N. events will recognize the peer relationship between the staff of the Little Nickel and the other papers mentioned in your announcement. Good luck.

Sincerely,

Oldford Fohrssale, Editor in Chief
Little Nickel Classified

Coule you post the text of

Coule you post the text of that instead of an attachment?  Pretty funny.  Was the D a mistake or did something pass me by?  D.I.N.N was used in the last paragraph.

BINN v. DINN

I think that was just a mistake. I told my "contact" at LNC about it and they fixed it.

Thanks.

Thanks.

Right on!

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Mr. Fohrssale and the Oly 7 for joining with me, and so many others, in our exclusion from this event which is sure to end marginalization, bigotry and exclusion in the Northwest for once and for all. -30-

That's hilarious...

...I mean, if it weren't so serious it would be hilarious. Never mind.

Awww

That sucks, I'm offended for them! I like your title as well, don't go and change it. It sucks feeling like you don't belong. Dirty BINN coordinater bastards.

I am told that the people at Little Nickel

appreciate your show of support. They are very busy with their upcoming Halloween issues, but they wanted me to extend their heartfelt gratitude.
